Who We Are and What We Do

In 1934 senior age members at Columbia-Edgewater Country Club, Riverside Golf and Country Club and Portland Golf Club banded together to form an organization known as the Oregon Senior Golfers Association. In 1955 the Junior-Senior Golfers Association of Oregon was formed and was patterned after the older senior association. Clubs welcomed these new associations because of the cash flow they represented and the good will and fellowship they brought with them. Today, the three organizing Country Clubs are joined by the following Country Clubs: Astoria, Bend, Corvallis, Illahe Hills, Juniper, Michelbook, Oswego Lake, Royal Oaks, Spring Hill, The Reserve, Tualatin, Waverley and Willamette Valley.

Today, the two associations provide their 400 members some great golf, good fellowship, good food and always a good time.

There are two groups defined by age - Jr/Sr age 35 to 65 (born 1946 and later) and Seniors are age 66 and older (born 1945 and earlier).

The two groups are divided into two groups, again by age. They are Jr/Sr - 1A - (age 61-65) and Jr/Sr - 2A - (age 35-60). The Senior groups are Senior  - 1A - (72 and older) and Senior 2A - age (66-71)

The groups will play seven (7) one day events at our member clubs and the group with the Central Oregon swing schedule will have an additional (8th) day of golf.

All of the events are rotated among the clubs to facilitate rotation throughout the 16 participating clubs.

The price for membership is $325 which covers golf and lunch for each of the 7 rounds of golf. Continental breakfast and lunch are provided at each event.

Total membership is limited to 400 members.
